#207 Postcard from Penang, Malaysia
Today I received another postcard from Penang, Malaysia. This one was sent by postcrosser Matthew.
It shows a nightview of Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang. The temple is nestled on a hill near Ayer Hitam town. I haven’t visited the temple, but always see it whenever I was on the furnicular train to and from Penang Hill.
Matthew affixed a stamp that commemorates the installation of His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah of Kedah as the 14th King of Malaysia. His Majesty was first elected as the 5th King of Malaysia in 1970. For the first time in the history of Malaysia, a ruler of a state is elected as the King for a second time.
