#430 Postcard with cancel from White Lake, Ontario
Six years ago, in September 2006, my wife and I arrived in Ottawa, Canada for the first time. On the first day of Ramadhan that year, the then Malaysian Education Atache in Ottawa asked us to join him and his wife for a trip to Calaboogie Lake. He prefers to drive on ordinary roads rather than highways. On our way to Calaboogie Lake, we passed by a very beautiful garden near White Lake town. We decided to turn around and stopped at the garden. That beautiful place is Waba Cottage Museum and Gardens. After six years, I decided to visit it again, now with my wife and Maryam and Aiman. The place is still beautiful and lovely. I bought a postcard from the museum and sent it to my home address in Ottawa. Yesterday it arrived!
The postcard shows a portrait of Archibald McNab who was the owner of Waba Cottage.
The stamp is cancelled manually using a pen, but there is a nice postmark with date 27 September 2012 and location at White Lake General Store, K0A 3L0.
