#85 Postcard from Malaysia

Last Christmas I was in the historical city of Malacca in Malaysia. I decided to write a postcard and send it to my home address in Canada. However while in Malacca I couldn’t find any post office or mail box. So I have no choice but to post it in Kuala Lumpur!

The front of the card shows a traditional Malacca village house.

I wrote about our visit to Cowboy Town in A Famosa Resort in Malacca on Christmas Eve. Both Maryam and Aiman didn’t enjoy the place. We had a terrible experience, and will not go there again…

This is a first-day-cover that I sent myself from Malaysia to my Canadian address. Pos Malaysia issued 10 stamps about royal palaces in Malaysia. However I only affixed three stamps on the FDC.

Malaysia is a unique country with a federal elective constitutional monarchy system, while at the state level there are nine constitutional monarchies, where most of them are hereditary monarchies.

My first postcard from Malaysia. It’s from Yip Hin Wai.

The front of the postcard is a picture of a fishing village, which is a common scenery especially in East Coast Malaysia. Please read my #38 post here, since actually I bought the same postcard as well when I was on vacation in  Terengganu, Malaysia!

At the back of the postcard, Yip affixed a stamp about fresh air. The postmark date is June 14th, 2011 and the postmark location is the NMC Shah Alam.
