On this cover, Tommy affixed four stamps featuring famous people of Croatia: Milka Trnina, Ranko Marinković, Antonija Krasnik, and Stjepan Gradić. The postmark date is 26 July 2013 and the location is Nedelišće. Thanks a lot Tommy for the three covers!

On the cover, Matteo affixed five colorful stamps, one of them featuring Pope Francis, the current pope of the Catholic Church. One stamp features Filippo Mazzei issued in 1980 to commemorates his 250th birthday. The two fountain stamps on top left were issued in 1979 and 1976. The top right stamp shows the beautiful Orto Botanico di Padova, a botanical garden in Papua. The postmark date 8 July 2013. Again, Canada Post decided to put their pen cancels on the cover as well. Thanks a lot Matteo!

On the cover, Vivin affixed a setenant stamps that commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Vivin also put a strip of Swami Vivekananda portrait on the cover. The postmark date and location are not clear.

#741 FDC from Honduras

The FDC is about Jeannette Kawas, an enviromental activist who was killed for her works to protect the environment. Honducor honoured her by issuing two portrait stamps of her and six stamps showing the sceneries of Jeannette Kawas National Park, a park that was named  after her. On the FDC Sonia affixed the two portrait stamps. Special cancel of the issue was applied with date 10 December 2012 and location San Pedro Sula.

My first postcard from Pakistan! It’s from Patrick of Karachi, sent to me on request from SL Liew!

The postcard features a breathtaking view of Dudipatsar Lake in the Kaghan Valley.

At the back, Patrick affixed seven stamps – two of them are commemorative stamps that celebrate the 125th anniversary of Aitchison College, Lahore in 2012; and five definitive stamps that feature the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The postmark date day is 25 but the month is not clear, and the location is Karachi. Thanks a lot Patrick and SL Liew!

On the cover, Mathieu affixed what seems like a portion from a souvenir sheet and four definitive stamps. The stamp in the souvenir sheet feautes Alberto Bolaffi, a stamp dealer from Italy. The postmark date is 11 March 2013 and the location is Mende, Lozere. Inside the covers there are two maxicards – one of which is hand made.

This is the maxicard that Mathieu made himself. It shows toy soldiers! On the card, Mathieu affixed one stamp and two special cancels were applied. The postmark date is 10 June 2012.

The second maxicard features a painting of “The End of Bison” – the FR Bison battleship that was lost on 3 May 1940. Mathieu affixed one stamp and one special cancel was applied with postmark date 19 May 1975 and location is Nantes. Thanks a lot Mathieu!
