A surprise cover from Sri Lanka, sent by Dr. M.J.M. Mikram!
On the cover, Mikram affixed four stamps featuring animals at Horton Plains National Park. The postmark date is 25 June 2013.
Inside there are two postcards. This one shows three waterfalls in Sri Lanka: Diyaluma Falls, St. Clair’s Falls, and Ravana Falls.
This postcard shows a beautiful beach scenery at Beruwala. Thank you very much Mikram!

On the cover, Gayanth affixed three zodiac stamps. There are also some maple leaf shaped color papers on the cover! The postmark date is 10 February 2013 and the location is Piliyandala.
Inside is a postcard that shows the Naga King image on guardstone near Thuparama Dagaba in the city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Thanks a lot Gayanth!

It’s a pink cover full of Sri Lankan stamps! The postmark date is 12 January 2013 and the location is Lagamuwa.
Inside is a nice Chinese New Year greeting card. Aileen translated each word on the card for me.
Aileen also sent a hóngbāo for Maryam – inside are two sheets of stickers. Thanks a lot Aileen for such a surprise!

It’s a blue cover with four zodiac stamps and four flower stamps. The postmark date is 11 February 2013 and it’s written Speed Post at Piliyandala.
Inside is a postcard showing an idol of Nagini in a temple in Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I am not comfortable with posting nude or semi-nude images of human in this blog so please forgive me for censoring the Nagini picture a little bit! Thanks a lot Gayanth!
My first cover from Sri Lanka! Thanks to Gayanth Karunarathne.
On the cover, Gayanth affixed a total of 10 stamps! There are four floral stamps, four zodiac stamps and two commemorative stamps on Buddhism and antinarcotic campaign. The postmark date is 10 November 2012 but the location is unclear – I am only able to read ‘Speed Post’ on the postmark.
Inside is a postcard that shows leaf nose lizard from Sri Lanka. Thanks a lot Gayanth!
